Welcome
Welcome to the 1st Cheam Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association Website. We are a part of the youth work of Cheam Baptist Church
We meet on Monday evenings in the halls at the rear of Cheam Baptist Church. Click on Sections to find details of where and when we meet. We operate three sections: the Anchor Section for ages 5-8, the Junior Section for ages 8-11, and the Company Section for ages 11-18.
Strictly speaking, as members of the Boys' Brigade we are not allowed to admit girls. However we have integrated girls into the company by means of the Girls' Association. The girls wear similar uniforms to the boys, but the badge does not include the BB letters or motto.

Congratulations to our Junior Section who won second place in the Battalion figure marching competition and first place in the Battalion Bible quiz. The Bible quiz performance was particularly impressive, as the team gained the maximum possible marks, which will mean that they will automatically take first place (possibly jointly) in the London District competitition.Thursday, March 06, 2008

We have recently heard that our bid to the Youth Opportunity Fund / Youth Capital Fund to buy a video camera, a digital camera, laptop computers and associated software has been approved. All of this equipment will be used to improve the content of this website and to train young people in multi-media and computing skills. Well done to all the Company Section members who worked on the bid and defended it in front of the adjudication panel.
Congratulations also to the three Company Section teams who entered the Top Team Challenge competition. The 'A' Team came 37th out of 233 teams in the country and the 'B' and 'C' teams came joint 50th.
